TUESDAY

If You're Happy and You Know It

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands (clap clap)
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands (clap clap)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap clap)

If you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet (stomp stomp)
If you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet (stomp stomp)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it, stomp your feet. (stomp stomp)

If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hurray!" (hoo-ray!)
If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hurray!" (hoo-ray!)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hurray!" (hoo-ray!)

If you're happy and you know it, do all three (clap-clap, stomp-stomp, hoo-ray!)
If you're happy and you know it, do all three (clap-clap, stomp-stomp, hoo-ray!)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you're happy and you know it, do all three. (clap-clap, stomp-stomp, hoo-ray!)

Did you ever sing this in maybe, Girl Scouts, church camp, etc.?  I sure did and I don't know what made me think of it this morning, but I do know I am happy.  (Sorry if I put this in your head to sing all day...lol)

Jim is on a down trend right now.  I fear he is going to fall and break a hip or something.  I cannot get him to realize that he needs to use the walker, rather than the cane for stability.  He says he will and I look up and the walker is in the living room, and he and his cane are in the kitchen.....sigh

My 8 year old granddaughter, Caroline, had a project for school and my daughter sent me pictures of what she did, and said she did 90% of the whole thing alone.....

(Sarah Breedlove (December 23, 1867 – May 25, 1919), known as Madam C. J. Walker, was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, regarded as the first female self-made millionaire in America. She made her fortune by developing and marketing a successful line of beauty and hair products for black women under the company she founded, Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company.)

That's it!

  1. Yes, I did sing that song. Thank you for the ear worm! No, really, a song like that could brighten one's mood.

Is Jim your beloved? I am sorry that he is not being as safe and stable as he could be by using the proper equipment. Any chance of a physical therapist giving him some tips?

    1. Yes, he is my hubby and he has had PT many times. He is 'hard headed' and will do what he wants to do, no matter what. lol I cant stop tho, because I know it is best for him to use the walker. He had back surgery 4 years ago, it didnt work and he has been in constant pain ever since....

  4. Looks like Granddaughter did a good job. I don't know what to tell you about your husband, I do know the walker is a lot better then a cane on one side of the body. If I did the If You're Happy and You Know It, I would probably have to take a nice nap afterwards. LOL Have a great day.

  6. Ok, thanks for the ear worm! *lol* Yeah, we sang that and other notable ear worms in Brownies then Girl Scouts that I'm sure our parents wished we wouldn't sing.

Poor Jim. It's rough to face our own mortality and that we need help with age. I'm just as 'bad'. I view it as a sign of weakness, but it's not. I pray that he will have an easier time soon.

Congratulations to Caroline on the excellent researching. ~:)

  7. I remember singing that song in Sunday school, and occasionally in church. Us kids loved it when we got to sing it in church. :)
    Caroline did a great job!
We were just discussing 2 types of people at work today. We decided there are those who can do things, but prefer to lay around and have others do it for them. Then there are those that need help, and won't ask! I'm afraid I may be the same way when the time comes - just a little stubborn, I can be!

  8. Linda!!!
You wouldn't bieve how hard it was for me to "find" you again. You are no longer showing up on my blog feed.
I feared that you had stopped Blogging so I began my search for you. I knew we had common blogging friends, so I began the search. Whew!! I found you.
Now. How do I get you back in my blog feed?!?
    I miss you.
    Love,
    Jackie

  9. On my site, on the left, click 'join this site'. So glad you found me. The crash I had several weeks ago messed up my blog and I lost many friends. Thank you for caring and looking for me.
