POST STORM # 1

I praise God that the projected tornadoes did not hit us.  We did have hard rain, thunder and lightning, but no tornadoes. North and south of us, several did touch down, especially in the Huntsville, Alabama area.  On the early morning news, they said we could expect the same beginning this evening, but not quite as severe. Ahh, welcome spring! Prayers for my friends that were hit and had damage.

My African Violets are in bloom, and all at one time.  I can't even remember how long I have had these, and even in winter, they give a glimpse of spring and things to come.

I took Jim to the dentist yesterday to have a tooth pulled, but he had never had a tooth pulled before, and as he is on a blood thinner, he had to contact his heart Dr. and get approval and then he had to get an appointment with oral surgeon.  By the time we got back home, he was totally worn out.  (I was too!)

Be safe, wherever you are and God bless.

Consciousness: That annoying time between naps.

  2. So glad the storms missed Chattanooga! Seems like you would be somewhat protected by the mountains, but I know that isn't foolproof! Terrible damage and loss, though, and my prayers are with those who lost their homes and/or loved ones.

Love your cartoon about naps! Amen to that!! So sorry getting a tooth pulled turned into such a problem. Hope his tooth pain isn't too bad while you wait on an appointment with the surgeon! Keep us posted, please.

  4. I was thinking of you yesterday as I watched the weather channel. So glad you were missed by the damaging storms. It is that time of year and that is the worst part of spring. I always dread hearing about tornadoes. I pray this evening will be calm for all of us.
I hope Jim is recovering just fine from that dental work. I love your pictures in your heading today with the violets. So pretty.
    You be safe.

  5. Tornado's are so frightening. Went through one once and hope to never do that again! Yipes! I'm so thankful it missed your area. I pray for those that are affected by this adverse weather. Those storms are bearing down on us right now but I don't think they'll be dangerous.
One of my grandmothers grew African Violets in apartment window. I don't have patience for such.
Poor Jim, he's having such a rough time. Growing old isn't for sissy's is it. I pray y'all can have some rest now. Take it easy.
    Y'all stay safe. ~:)
